Dunwoody Community Garden was founded in August, 2009 with 60 numbered plots.

In June, 2011, the garden expanded to 92 numbered plots and extensive border plantings. The garden is maintained by individual volunteers, members and a volunteer Board of Directors. The garden receives support from community and business organizations and partners with the City of Dunwoody Parks Department.
Besides providing hands-on gardening opportunities, the garden organizes educational and social events and works with local organizations to contribute to the betterment of Dunwoody.
